![]() Something that loses force in the work for a master’s degree was what was transformed into the most marking trait of the Raízes do Brasil, which is a historical essay about what was missing and what was denied in the constitution of our identity.” “Some things changed in Sérgio Buarque’s perception. “There is an impressive line of continuity between this dissertation and the classic Raízes do Brasil, published in 1936”, explains De Decca. ![]() The text slumbered in the historian’s collection, entrusted to Unicamp after his death.De Decca was surprised and intrigued with what he found. In 1988, at the tragically young age of twenty-seven, the most successful black visual artist in history died from a heroin overdose. ![]() ![]() Basquiat's subsequent success and rapis assimilation into the world of stardom coincided with the new ca$h of the eighties that flooded the city, and it soon became apparent that he was unwilling and unable to deal with the tempations and demands that his new fame brought. Jean-Michel Basquiat's transition from the subways to the chic gallery spaces of Manhattan brought the artist into the company of many of New York's established and aspiring stars. ![]() ![]() Prove to Lia I’m the one she should be with instead.
